CDS Progress Meeting on the topics of Active Substances and Energy Conversion
The last CDS Progress Meeting of the year took place on December 11, 2023. Hon.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Stein and Dr. Fabian Sewerin presented their research on the topics of Active Substances and Energy Conversion in 20-minute talks. CDS-Member Hon.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Stein is Leader of the research group Molecular Simulation and Design at the Max-Planck-Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and Honoraryprofessor of Computational Chemistry. His lecture on the topic of The dynamics of molecular recognition stimulated subsequent discussions.
Dr. Fabian Sewerin gave his lecture on the topic Towards an energy economy based on metal fuels: Modelling of dust flames. He leads the Emmy Noether Group Dispersed Multiphase Flows at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg since 2021 and is Junior Member of the CDS since 2023.
During the coffee break and after the event participants were able to discuss the lectures over coffee and cookies. The event could also be followed online via Zoom. The CDS Progress Meetings event series will be continued in 2024.
