Mourning for CDS co-founder Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ernst Dieter Gilles

The members of the CDS mourn the founding father Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ernst Dieter Gilles, who died in Stuttgart on 12 June 2019.
Prof. Gilles was Emeritus Scientific Member of the Max Planck Society and Founding Director of the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg. He was director of the institute from 1997 to 2008 and headed the Systems Biology group until 2011. In 1999 he was appointed honorary professor at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
