Approval of start-up funding for the "SmartProSys" research initiative

On July 28, 2022, the state of Saxony-Anhalt approved start-up funding of 1.25 million euros for a new research initiative of the OVGU in cooperation with the MPI, the Fraunhofer Institute and the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research in Magdeburg. Spokespersons of the initiative are Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Achim Kienle. The aim of the research initiative "SmartProSys: Intelligent Process Systems for Sustainable Chemical Production" is to develop the scientific basis for a sustainable chemical industry.
