VDI sponsorship awards 2024 for master's theses
The VDI Sponsorship Award ceremony took place on September 2, 2024, in the Gruson Greenhouses. Outstanding scientific work was honored under the motto “Award winners: lighthouses of Generation Z”.
The outstanding master's thesis by doctoral student Alexander Klimek on “Optimization-based design and scheduling approach for quantifying the influence of economic and technical parameters on ammonia production from renewables” was awarded the VDI Magdeburg District Association's sponsorship prize. CDS member Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Kai Sundmacher and M. Sc. Tibor Svitnic, doctoral student at the FVST, supervised the work.
Doctoral student Igor Gamm was also awarded the sponsorship prize of the VDI Magdeburg district association. His outstanding master's thesis on “Suitability of enantioselective fluidized bed crystallization for the separation of chiral material systems with needle-shaped crystal morphology” was supervised by M. Sc. Jonathan Gänsch, doctoral student at the FVST. The reviewers were apl. Prof. Dr. Heike Lorenz (MPI Magdeburg) and CDS member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern (MPI Magdeburg).
