Siemens Healthineers supports FEIT with high-quality measurement equipment from FARO
The Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg has received a generous donation of high-quality measuring equipment from the company FARO, supplied by the Siemens Healthineers plant in Kemnath .
Professor Mostaghim new Institute Director at Fraunhofer IVI
CDS member Professor Sanaz Mostaghim, Chair of Computational Intelligence at OvGU, has also been the new Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Transport and Infrastructure Systems IVI in Dresden since June 1, 2024.
SFB "Bulk-Reaction" successfully extended
The Collaborative Research Center/Transregio SFB 287 "Bulk-Reaction" has been extended for another four years. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is providing the research teams at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and Ruhr University Bochum with €12 million for the second funding period, running until 2028, to investigate energy-intensive industrial processes.

Treating aneurysms on the computer
Most brain aneurysms go unnoticed by those affected. It is only when a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) scan of the head is performed for some other reason that doctors discover the abnormal bulge in a cerebral blood vessel by chance. Prof. Dr. Daniel Behme, Head of Neuroradiology at Magdeburg University Hospital , studies these "incidental findings" .
