New Max Planck School of Biomedical Artificial Intelligence
Biomedicine and artificial intelligence are to be integrated within the newly established Max Planck School. The objective is to train a new generation of scientists capable of developing algorithms that understand, explain, and predict the principles of living systems, making this knowledge directly applicable to molecular design.
Magdeburg Biotechnologists Cooperate with Innocent Meat GmbH for Sustainable Food Production
In a research project between the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg with the Rostock-based start-up company Innocent Meat GmbH, experts in cell culture technology contributed their expertise to process development.
With its first two Max Planck Centers in Singapore, the Max Planck Society is now also present in Southeast Asia
On April 20th, 2026, the contracts for the first two Max Planck Centers in Singapore were signed at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
Using automated experiments and artificial intelligence, the Max Planck Singapore Centre for Data-driven Chemistry generates reliable data for chemical reactions and new materials . To investigate how biodiversity and cultural life influence each other, the Max Planck – NTU Singapore Centre for Biocultural Worlding brings together researchers, artists, curators, legal professionals, and knowledge communities.
Tailor-Made Molecules to Combat Deadly Lung Infections
A new therapeutic approach to treating life-threatening lung infections has been discovered through a collaborative effort between chemists from the University of Magdeburg and molecular medicine specialists from Jena University Hospital. In this experimental approach, pathogenic bacteria or fungi are not treated with antibiotics and antimycotics alone.
