CDS scientists are significantly involved in several of the newly extended subprojects of the DFG Priority Programme "Catalysts and Reactors under Dynamic Operating Conditions for Energy Storage and Conversion" (SPP 2080).

DFG Funds New Research Training Group 2408
Since October 1, 2018, 18 new positions have been available within the GRK 2408 for young scientists who want to do their doctorate at the medical faculty of the OvGU in a structured research and qualification programme at a high professional level.

International Max Planck Research School extended until 2025
The Max Planck Research School for Advanced Methods in Process Engineering ProEng is a joint institution of the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg. The Garduiertenschule provides joint training and scientific support for docotorands. It was established in 2007 and recently approved for another 6 years until 2025 after a positive evaluation.
New Chinese-German cooperation project
CDS scientists are involved in the new international cooperation between the Max Planck Institute Magdeburg, the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdebugr and the East China University of Science and Technology Shanghai. Prof. Kai Sundmacher is one of the directors of the cooperation project.
The aim is to extract valuable natural components such as vitamin E from liquid mixtures of vegetable oil production in China and other countries - with the aid of so-called strongly eutectic solvents.
