CDS Progress Meeting on the topic of Active Substances

The CDS lecture series, CDS Progress Meetings, started into the winter semester 2024/2025 on September 18, 2024 with two lectures on the topic of Active Substances.

Dr. rer. nat. Anna Dittrich, junior member of the CDS, is a project manager at the Chair of Systems Biology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. In her talk on “Crucial Conversations: How Negative Feedback Ensures Robust Cytokine Signaling”, she presented new research findings.

The second talk of the day was given by CDS member Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Inna Lavrik on the topic “Understanding life/death decisions in the cell by computational and experimental approaches”. She is head of the Translational Inflammation Research Group at the Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. During her lecture, she was supported by her team, Corinna König, Dr. Nikita V. Ivanisenko and Dr. Fabian Wohlfromm.

Afterwards, there was an opportunity to discuss the presentations over coffee and cookies. The next CDS Progress Meeting will take place November 6, 2024 in building 28 room 026/027. CDS member Dr. Techn. Liisa Rihko-Struckmann and CDS junior member Dr.-Ing. Nicole Vorhauer-Huget will present talks on the topic Engery Conversion. The event can be followed online via Zoom.
