Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Beyrau is new CDS member

By decision of the Board of Directors, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Beyrau was accepted as a new member of the Research Center Dynamic Systems (CDS). 

Prof. Frank Beyrau completed his doctorate in the field of chemical and bioengineering in 2005 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with the distinction summa cum laude. From 2005 onward, he headed the Combustion Engineering Research Group at the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He then worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Imperial College London from 2008 to 2014, and as a Reader in Combustion Diagnostics in 2014.

In 2014, Prof. Frank Beyrau was appointed to the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT) at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. The chair's research focuses on coupled heat and mass transfer and combustion technology, both fundamental and applied. Since 2015, he has been the head of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (ISUT) at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
