Dr. Francesca Cascella honored as best doctoral student at OvGU
On November 29, 2022, Dr. Francesca Cascella was awarded a doctoral prize at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg Academic Ceremony as the best doctoral student in the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. She received the prize for her dissertation with the topic "Resolution of enantiomers of chiral compounds using crystallization processes: from fundamental studies to process development".
From May 2017 to October 2021, Dr. Cascella was supervised as a junior researcher by Prof. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern (working group leader Physical-Chemical Fundamentals of Process Engineering, Max Planck Institute Magdeburg) and apl. Prof. Dr. Heike Lorenz. The doctoral award was presented to her by Prof. Evangelos Tsotsas, Dean of the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineeringm, Prof. Jens Strackeljan, Rector of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, and Dr. Lutz Trümper, former Lord Mayor of Magdeburg, the state capital.
