Prof. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern honored for basic research
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern, Director and Head of the Physical-Chemical Fundamentals of Process Engineering Research Group at the Max Planck Institute Magdeburg, has been honored by the Adsorption and Ion Exchange Section of the Separations Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). The award honors his extraordinary contributions to research on the fundamentals of adsorption, chromatography and process engineering. The Plaque of Honor was presented to him on November 14, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, at a colloquium dedicated to him.
Recognized process engineers from North America and Europe presented the current state of development of the use of porous solids in the separation of gas mixtures and for the purification of dissolved substances. Numerous presentations referred to the research work of Prof. Seidel-Morgenstern.
