Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Christof Hamel becomes new CDS member
By unanimous decision of the Directorate at its last meeting, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Christof Hamel was admitted to the CDS.
Prof. Christof Hamel has been appointed to the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg. His research focuses on replacing the use of natural gas and oil as the basis for chemical products with the use of renewable, bio-based raw materials and recycling. His goal is to create “sustainable, green Chemistry” that relies on environmentally friendly manufacturing processes for chemical products, using efficient catalysts and harmless solvents.
