Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher receives the 2023 Research Prize of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg
CDS member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher, 58, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg and holder of the Chair of Systems Process Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, was awarded the 2023 Research Prize of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg for his scientific achievements on November 21, 2023.
Sridhar Chellappa awarded Best Doctoral Student of the Faculty of Mathematics
Mathematician Dr. rer. nat. Sridhar Chellappa was named Best Doctoral Student 2023 of the Faculty of Mathematics at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg for his outstanding Ph. D. thesis.

At November 16, 2023, CDS Member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher, Ronny Tobias Zimmermann, M. Sc., Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Bremer, Bianka Stein, and Markus Ikert, all members of the Department of Process Engineering of the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg, were awarded the first place in the category "Research" of the Environmental Award from the State Capital Magdeburg.
Research for carbon sources of the future
Scientists of the der Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg are working on the development of new approaches and processes for sustainable carbon-based chemical production as a port of the research cluster SmartProSys (Smart Process Systems for a Green Carbon-based Chemical Production in a Sustainable Society).
