Mourning for CDS co-founder Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ernst Dieter Gilles
The members of the CDS mourn the founding father Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ernst Dieter Gilles.
Ernst Dieter Gilles died on 12 June 2019 at the age of 84 in Stuttgart. He is buried in the closest circle of his family, friends and companions.
New Sino-German cooperation project MPI, OvGU and East China University
CDS scientists are involved in the new international cooperation between the Max Planck Institute Magdeburg, the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and the East China University of Science and Technology Shanghai. The cooperation project is led by CDS spokesperson Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher, among others.
International Max Planck Research School extended until 2025
The Max Planck Research School for Advanced Methods in Process Engineering ProEng is a joint institution of the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg.
DFG funds new Research Training Group 2408
Within the GRK 2408 there are 18 new positions available since October 1, 2018 for young scientists who want to do a doctorate at the medical faculty of the OvGU in a structured research and qualification programme at a high professional level.
DFG priority program SPP 2080 approved
CDS scientists are significantly involved in several of the newly extended sub-projects of the DFG priority programme "Catalysts and reactors under dynamic operating conditions for energy storage and conversion" (SPP 2080).
CDS Member Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry
Dr. Matthias Stein, head of the research group Molecular Simulations and Design at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
