Marcus Wenzel received the faculty award for the best doctoral student of the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg for the period 2018 - 2019. Doctoral supervisor is CDS spokesman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher.

Master prize for biosystems engineer Sophie Pabel (AG Prof. Marwan)

In the working group of CDS member Prof. Wolfgang Marwan, Chair of Regulatory Biology at the Institute of Biology, Master's graduate Sophie Pabel was awarded the Master's prize for outstanding final thesis in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology (GBM).

Engineers revolutionise molecular microscopes

CDS member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rolf Findeisen, together with engineers from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and in cooperation with colleagues from Forschungszentrum Jülich, has developed a method for measuring the electrical potentials of molecules and molecular surfaces with previously unattained precision and speed.
