ACM HUMIES Bronze Award at GECCO Conference 2023 in Lisbon

The Chair of Computational Intelligence was successful in the July 2023 ACM SIEGEVO HUMIES competition with the entry "Identifying Symbolic Models for Particle-Charging Flows" by Julia Reuter. He was awarded the with 1000 USD endowed Bronze Award.

The competition took place during the 2023 GECCO Conference in Lisbon.
The ACM HUMIES Award honours publications whose results, achieved through genetic and evolutionary programming, are "human competitive",
 i.e. those who achieve the same or better results in solving a problem than a human.  
The submitted publications were produced in collaboration between the chairs of the two CDS members Prof. Mostaghim (FIN) and Prof. van Wachem (FVST) in the course of a DFG project.
