CDS Progress Meeting on the topics of Chemical Production and Key Technologies
The third CDS Progress Meeting on the topics of Chemical Production and Key Technologies took place at November 7, 2023. The speakers Prof. Dr. -Ing. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern and Dr. Igor Pontes Duff Pereira presented their research in 20-minute talks. Prof. Dr. -Ing. Andreas Seidel-Morgenstern is a scientific member at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg and Director at this institute. His talk on the topic of Forced periodic operation of reactors encouraged questions and discussions, which were continued during the following coffee break. The second talk on the topic of Learning Stable Dynamical Systems from Noisy Measurements was given by CDS Junior Member Dr. Igor Pontes Duff Pereira, Team Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg. In the following discussion, possible applications were already being discussed. The lectures were followed with great interest both in person and online via Zoom. Participants used the event for socializing and networking.
As part of the lecture series organised by the CDS, the CDS Progress Meetings, another event will take place December 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. on the topics of Active Substances and Energy Conversion. The talks The dynamics of molecular recognition by Hon.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Stein of the research group Molecular Simulations and Design Group of the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems and Towards an energy economy based on metal fuels Modelling of dust flames by Dr. Fabian Sewerin from the Chair of Mechanical Process Engineering of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg can be followed in person in Building 28 Room 026/027 and via Zoom. The event is open to all interested parties of the university and the Max Planck Institute.
