The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg has received funding to support Ukrainian scientists for three years from July 1, 2023.

The Grant is funded by the EIRENE Max Planck-Ukraine Cooperation & Mobility Grant of the Max-Planck-Society. The program is directed at researchers who have completed their PhD less than four years ago and already have a scientific profile. The aim of the grant is to enable project collaboration and to support Ukrainian researchers in a possible future collaboration with the MPI. Annually, 15,000 euros are available as a research grant and 5,000 euros are available as a mobility grant for research stays at the MPI.
"The Board of Directors and the members of staff at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems Magdeburg declare their solidarity with all Ukrainian citizens, and in particular with our own, current and former, Ukrainian employees and their families, as well as with our colleagues at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine, with whose Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics we are already associated by a cooperation agreement since 2017," says CDS Member Prof. Dr. Peter Benner, Director at the Max Planck Institute Magdeburg. With this grant it is made possible to support scientists in their home countries and to enable them to spend research periods at MPI Magdeburg.
