Sustainable and climate-friendly study programs
For the winter semester 2023/2024, two bachelor's and one master's degree program of the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering will be realigned. The course content will be expanded to include the topics of sustainability, environment and energy.
CDS member Prof. Christoph Hamel is the study advisor and spoke about the study programs: "In order to attract more students to shape our new energy and raw materials era, we are now offering two study programs, Sustainable Process and Environmental Engineering and Energy and Process Engineering, with a focus on sustainability, climate friendliness and energy efficiency in process engineering and with excellent career prospects."
The course content provides students with skills in the development of sustainable methods and processes based on renewable raw materials, environmental engineering and air pollution control, the use of renewable energies, and materials for energy storage.
The bachelor's and master's degree program in Sustainable Process and Environmental Engineering focuses on the research, development and technical implementation of processes, while the bachelor's degree program in Energy Process Engineering focuses on the analysis, modeling and optimization of energy transmission and energy supply processes.
