Kai Sundmacher becomes a full member of the BBAW

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai Sundmacher was admitted to the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities as a full member during the Leibniz Day.

Due to his broad field of work in process engineering, he is today one of the leading scientists in his discipline worldwide. His research and work covers topics such as chemical and thermal process engineering, particle technology, energy technology and technical electrochemistry. Furthermore, a central focus of his work is the modelling, simulation and optimisation of complex chemical processes.

With his admission as a full member of the BBAW, he becomes part of an institution that promotes dialogue between science and society and supports institutional funding of non-university research with the universities of Berlin and Brandenburg.
