Progress Meeting of the CDS on the topics of energy conversion and chemical production
The first meeting of the CDS Progress Meetings on April 17, 2023 with the presentations of Dr.-Ing. Tanja Vidakovic-Koch from the field of Energy Conversion and Prof. Dr. Jan von Langermann from the field of Chemical Production was a success. Ms. Vidakovic-Koch was convincing with her presentation on Electrochemical CO2 reduction and Mr. von Langermann with his presentation on Integrated Biocatalytic Synthesis Processes for the Preparation of Valuable Compounds. The presentations were followed both on site and online via Zoom and stimulated numerous discussions. During the coffee break and also after the end of the event, discussions continued and the participants took the opportunity to network.
The next CDS Progress Meeting will be held on June 12, 2023. Dr. Eric Schulze-Niemand from the Faculty of Medicine will give a talk from the area of Active Substances entitled "Structure-activity relationships of deubiquitinylase inhibitors". The second talk will be given by Prof. Dr. Thomas Richter from the Faculty of Mathematics in the area of Key Technologies area and is titled "Artificial Neural Networks for Partial Differential Equations".
